**Wang Chuan-Fu’s A Thought of Bodhi Blossoms Amid Emerald Mists Exhibited at the 82nd Genten Exhibition in Japan, Opening a Realm of Spiritual Clarity Through the Emptiness of Ink Painting**

Through ink wash, blank space, and the imagery of bodhi, the work constructs a contemplative space, presenting a deep dialogue between Eastern spirituality and contemporary art by a Taiwanese artist.

Taiwanese artist WANG CHUAN FU participates in the 82nd “Genten” Exhibition in Japan with his work One Thought of Bodhi Opens the Verdant Mist. Organized by the Japan Contemporary Artists Association, this year’s exhibition will be held from May 27 to June 8, 2026, at The National Art Center, Tokyo.

Wang Chuan Fu is one of the Taiwanese artists participating in this year’s 82nd “Genten” Exhibition in Japan. His work One Thought of Bodhi Opens the Verdant Mist uses ink wash, blank space, and spiritual imagery as its primary artistic language. The RUMOTAN special review places his work within the context of “ink-wash void, phenomenological reduction, and spiritual clarity,” showing that Wang Chuan Fu’s artistic background is characterized by Eastern philosophy, contemplative vision, and the contemporary transformation of ink art.

Among the portraits of Taiwanese artists in this year’s exhibition, Wang Chuan Fu’s work presents an introverted and tranquil artistic orientation. Compared with works characterized by intense colors or digital media, his creation places greater emphasis on emptiness, ink tones, contemplation, and spiritual clarity, offering viewers an experience close to quiet observation and introspection.

One Thought of Bodhi Opens the Verdant Mist is based on the language of ink wash. Through blank space, layers of ink tones, and spiritual imagery, it creates a viewing space that is tranquil, clear, and rich in inner depth. In the title, “One Thought of Bodhi” points to awakening and the transformation of the mind, while “Verdant Mist” carries the poetic atmosphere of mountains, subtle depth, and distant purity.
